According to fresh report which is trending on twitter, scores of the abducted Chibok girls have been allegedly killed in an ongoing military airstrikes on Boko Haram positions in the dreaded Sambisa forest, Ahmad Salkida, a journalist with links to Boko Haram has said.

In a series of tweets made yesterday by @ContactSalkida, who exclusively reports about the Islamic group, Ahmad Salkida confirmed watching “horrifying” images of some of the Chibok girls allegedly killed by the Nigerian military airstrikes.

Salkida said the video was exclusively released to him by Abubakar Shekau, the ousted leader of militant group, although he did say when the video was released to him.

Many more people were kidnapped not just the chibok girls. Most of the people kidnapped were low profile but the chibok girls gained international focus. BH are utilizing it to blackmail Nigeria.

This is cheap blackmail by boko haram. They want to force the military to stop bombardment of their positions.
NA should step up attack on anything seeing carrying weapon apart from security agents.

Many of us are just blinded by sectionalism and ethno-religious sentiments. When the military bombed the supposed militants hideouts in Ogun state, many of those from the west claimed it was a poorly executed strike with many civilian casualties while those from other regions cheered the military on.
Same happened with the Zaria massacre, with many non-shia Muslims and Christians justifying the massacre of fellow Nigerians.
Now the military are talking up their plans to bomb the hideouts in the south and as expected those from that region are spewing fire and invectives while others not from the region are cheering the military on.
We are shameless in our double speak, choosing only to speak out when it affects us.
We all know that our military don't do precision strike, we don't even have those sophisticated jets, our military does mass action, both for the ground troops and airforce. We have zero regard for our own lives, that's why other countries treat us as shit, because we make ourselves shit.

This is so not true. Responses to all the unfortunate conflict going on around Nigeria have been mixed. Sure, there are core ethnocentrics that reduce everything to tribe and there are also core politiconuts that view many topics through the lens of party affiliation and respond accordingly but the majority of posters respond with genuine concern for the people caught up in these conflicts and out of concern what it means for the nation. The bring back our girl campaign championed by people from all over Nigeria reflects this.
