If used engine oil is mixed with the soil where the snails are kept to keep ant and other small pests away, please could the soil be harmful to the snails?

Congratulations, u just succefully kill all ur snails, don't even try it, dat will be harmful, snails are very fragile oo. U can dig shallow gutter around ur pen nd pour d engine oil, with that ants nd pests won't av access to the pen. Or if the pen is inform of cage, make sure it has four stands, den get four used can , dip the four stands into the can nd pour the used engine oil, it will kip pests nd ants away.
