Its obvious that my country is facing a lot of challenges, it can be liken to a wounded lion where her strength is reduced, her prowess is doubted and gradually loosing her influence in the jungle.

My country used to be the african role model, she is known for her unique roles played in Liberia, Sudan Serra Leon in ensuring peace in those states.

She was leading the economy in the African context, probably because of her human and material resources. Simply put, she the have raw materials and a market base. In the same vein, she was one of the largest oil producing nation.

However, she became the shadow of herself. What or who could be behind her mishaps? Could it be within or from without? Many people Blame it on the unholy union of the protectorates called amalgamation by Lugard in 1914. Reason been that there was no consensus between those regions of coming together.
On the order hand, some accounted it to the local bourgeois that took over power at independence in 1960. Also, others faulted it on the obstructions of the military in the fragile democracy in the polity.

This presupposes the short comings of our past leaders, however there are recent manifestations that have been recurring in the Nigerian federal system which is contrary to the classical tenets of federalism which bring to bare the CRACK in the Nigerian political system.

These recurring issues are revenue allocation, autonomy of the third tier of government (Lga's), marginalization of the minority, state police and the intentional abuse of the principle of federal character by our head of states.

This has resulted to agitation, insurgency, and weak institutions that ar supposed to gear even development. This is a serious crack that need tackle. W need to look inward in order to go forward.

Nigeria shall be great again!
God bless Nigeria. Amen!
