The head of Tesla has revealed some interesting details of the upcoming flagship model, the Roadster sports car, and finally announced the date of its debut: a pre-production prototype will be shown at the end of this summer, production will begin in 2022.

The first show of the second-generation Roadster sports car took place back in November 2017, and since then, the wealthiest Tesla fans, who made a 50 thousand dollar deposit for the right to get the car first, have been patiently waiting for the production version. In May last year, Elon Musk announced that the launch of the new Roadster was postponed indefinitely, as it is not a priority project for the company. But now, fortunately, clarity about the Roadster has appeared, as Musk traditionally announced on his Twitter (Tesla no longer has its own PR service).

So, according to Musk, the development of the new Roadster has entered the final stage and at the end of the summer we will be shown a close-to-production version, and production will begin next year (Musk did not give an exact date).

The German company has declassified the restyled two-door cars of the family. In Europe, sales of new products will start in the fall, in the US – towards the end of the year.

Mercedes-Benz intended to show the updated E-Class sedan and station wagon in March 2020 at the Geneva Motor Show, but the exhibition was canceled due to the outbreak of coronavirus in Europe. As a result, four- and five-door cars were presented in the online premiere format. And today, also on the Web, the restyled coupes and cabriolet Mercedes-Benz E-Class debuted, in addition, the company showed new “two-doors” in versions of the Mercedes-AMG E53.

During the update, the appearance of the E-Class coupe and cabriolet has changed a bit: for example, the two-door cars have received completely different LED head optics and a radiator grill expanding to the bottom. Visually, the tail lights remained the same, but they changed the “stuffing”. There are several new colors for painting the body. Standard coupes and convertibles are equipped with 18-inch wheels. In turn, the AMG E53 versions are based on 19-inch five-spoke wheels, and 20-inch rollers are optionally available. In addition, such “two-doors” can be distinguished by four round tailpipes of the exhaust system and a proprietary radiator grill with vertical slats.

But at the start of a career, the coupe sold in a circulation of 9-10 thousand copies. And yet Nissan is not going to abandon a relatively inexpensive sports car – the 370Z will have a successor. For the first time, the new “two-door” was lit up in May, then the brand published a video teaser with several upcoming premieres. Now the coupe has been presented online. True, this is not a production model yet, but a concept called the Z Proto, but the car that will be put on the conveyor will certainly retain the design of the precursor.
