I woke up on tuesday morning & saw an sms alert on my phone, on opening it, I discovered it was from Gtbank & it read thus, dear customer, 1050 naira has been deducted from your account for mastercard issuance & vat! I never requested for any atm card & besides, the one I've is yet to expire! So I want to know, has issuance of atm card become autorenewal & mandatory?? I've account with other banks like Firstbank, Diamond etc & whenever my card expires, they will ask me to request for another by filling a form. I intend to go to their main branch here in Owerri & demand that they revert my money back! Pls I need advice on how to go about, the money might be small but I feel its exploitation. |

New cards are printed by default to replace expired ones whether or not you requested for it. That is why new cards retain the same card number and your PIN except you chose to change it. MrEverest: |

youngest85:No, its due to expire next month-end. Regardless, I dont want to have atm card with my Gtbank account so I wont have access to the money there, I already have account with Firstbank & Diamond Bank which I use for business & upkeep. |
