No it doesn't mean living your life the way you want.... Total freedom in christ means '' you have been given authority over everything on earth...
The book of Mark said the world is rule by the evil one, but with christ you have total dominance
Re: How Can We Experience True Freedom In Christ? by kunledegreat(m): 8:37am On Aug 28, 2016
There is no freedom in Christ, you are in bondage by believing in him and following what the bible teaches. The true freedom is by believing in your Reason. That is the power you have as humans. Even when your bible said: 'God created man in his own image...' It means that out of every creature, it is only man that has the ability of God, the ability to 'Think and Reason'.

You can only experience freedom and salvation through God not Jesus. Isaiah 43:10,Mathew 4:10 Isaiah 42:8, Deut 33:26, John 7:21-23 and Quran 2:163

Feel free. Think free. And reason free. Act, interact and move righteously always before man and God. Don't try to slap a man who will kill you before you raise up your hand to slap him. Care, as against nonchallant lackadaisical interactions, is the Key. Lay not your Treasures before pigs and do not be unequally yoked with satanic characters but love yourselves as He loves you. Such is Freedom. Happy Sunday.

Modern Church, Monster Church.

Practices in the modern evangelical church that I will NEVER ever get over.

1. Comedy Shows or StandUp Comedy in Churches.
Is the Church about Jokes now?

2. Award/Dinner Nights in churches.
What happens to selfless christian service and heavenly rewards?

3. Bodyguards or Ushers in churches looking like FBI/CIA Agents running everywhere.
Is the church under siege? This really freaks me out.

4. POS Machines in churches.
Maybe worshippers should pay their offerings into a designated bank account the next Monday morning. It gives the church some replica of sacred sanity, rather than look like a glorified Casino. Or maybe churches are scared their 'magic' would wear off before Monday?

5. Pulpit looking too much like a Concert Stage. Too many light works and special effects.
What is our main attraction? Christ or the others?

6. Everybody speaks in tongues that no one understands, yet nobody interprets.
How am I encouraged or edified if you motivate me in Latin where I'm Yoruba?

7. Special King-size Seats for the Presiding Pastor and his Mrs.
Are you the Lord or Jesus?

8. Special Stooges who carry even the Pastor's mobile phones and wife's bag.
Are they amputees?

9. Sharing the grace with the guy/girl beside you in church, yet you leave in your car without offering him/her a lift to a nearby bus stop.
Why not share your car and keep your grace?

10. You've not paid your rent, fees or tax but your tithe never suffers.
Always remember: God is merciful, but your landlord or government is not.

There are simply too many abominable practices today in the modern church, fast evolving into a monster church. Too many to even remember. Do you Believers know any?

God bless you! This is just the truth. What frustrates me more is pastors feeling like president with bodyguards and convoy around them. Are they really emulating Christ? The holy Bible made us understand that people most often couldn't differentiate Jesus from his disciples, in fact Those who captured Him had to rely on the sign Judas gave them to know who they were after.

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abide? St. Paul said, "God forbid". It is true that we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

But I tell you that salvation is in three fold;
1. The salvation of the Spirit; this is the new birth in the spirit. Once one accept Christ, the Spirit of God is born a new in him or her. We call it "Born again".

2. The salvation of the Soul; this take place after you are born again. Here is the problem most Christians have.

Note; that one spirit can be save yet his soul is still wallowing in lust and sin. That is why you pray and speak in other tongues, yet still live the old life.

To get the soul save, one need to tuck himself with the word of God. That is working out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Bible said in Roman 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

That "renewing of your mind" is the salvation of the soul.

Telling your soul through the word of God from your spirit that you are not what you use to be. That you are now a new man in Christ.

As you do this, your will see ur self changing just like 2 corinthians 3:18.

3. The salvation of the Body; this is the last phase of salvation on man, because man is a Spirit with a Soul and lives in the Body.

This salvation will take place when the Lord will come again in his glory. See 1 corinthians 15:53-54.

Do you know that your body is a temple? Therefore never entertain yourself with comedy. Never attend dinner / award events. If you are rich, never hire any form of security. Never have any subordinates. According to scripture you are a temple, the Holy Spirit dwells in the temple. Therefore don't condemn something in church while you engage in it,. if you do, you know what you are

Freedom in Christ is the freedom over Sin and Satan. Jesus is the truth and the life.

Freedom over Sin and Satan means
You are not controlled by your body anymore but by the spirit in you. That doesn't mean you are perfect no but you now don't live a sinful life. ( Sinful)/means Sin full, a life full of sin. So when you are tempted and fall u ask for forgiveness and try as much to live uprightly and gradually live almost a zero Sin life.
Freedom doesn't mean we can do anything and go away with it because we have Christ No. In fact there is no disobedience we do against God that we won't be punished. As He chastise us He does it with love.
He shields you away from all danger and guide and guard you Always away from the clutches of Satan and his agents.

How can we experience true freedom in Christ? Does freedom in Christ mean we can live our lives however we want to?

Suggested answer:

Question: "How can we experience true freedom in Christ?"

Answer: Everyone seeks freedom. Especially in the West, freedom is the highest virtue, and it is sought after by all who are, or consider themselves to be, oppressed. But freedom in Christ is not the same as political or economic freedom. In fact, some of the most harshly oppressed people in history have had complete freedom in Christ. The Bible tells us that, spiritually speaking, no one is free. In Romans 6, Paul explains that we are all slaves. We are either slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness. Those who are slaves to sin cannot free themselves from it, but once we are freed from the penalty and power of sin through the cross, we become a different kind of slave, and in that slavery we find complete peace and true freedom.

Although it seems like a contradiction, the only true freedom in Christ comes to those who are His slaves. Slavery has come to mean degradation, hardship, and inequality. But the biblical paradigm is the true freedom of the slave of Christ who experiences joy and peace, the products of the only true freedom we will ever know in this life. There are 124 occurrences in the New Testament of the word doulos, which means "someone who belongs to another" or "bondslave with no ownership rights of his own." Unfortunately, most modern Bible versions, as well as the King James Version, most often translate doulos as "servant" or "bond-servant." But a servant is one who works for wages, and who, by virtue of his work, is owed something from his master. The Christian, on the other hand, has nothing to offer the Lord in payment for his forgiveness, and he is totally owned by the Master who bought him with His shed blood on the cross. Christians are purchased by that blood and are the possession of their Lord and Savior. We are not hired by Him; we belong to Him (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 7:4). So "slave" is really the only proper translation of the word doulos.

Far from being oppressed, the slave of Christ is truly free. We have been set free from sin by the Son of God who said, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). Now the Christian can truly say, along with Paul, "Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2). We now know the truth and that truth has set us free (John 8:32). Paradoxically, through our bondage to Christ, we have also become sons and heirs of the Most High God (Galatians 4:1–7). As heirs, we are partakers of that inheritance—eternal life—which God confers on all His children. This is a privilege beyond any earthly treasure we could ever inherit, while those in bondage to sin inherit only spiritual death and an eternity in hell.

Why, then, do so many Christians live as though they are still in bondage? For one thing, we often rebel against our Master, refusing to obey Him and clinging to our old lives. We hold on to the sins that once bound us to Satan as our master. Because our new nature still lives in the old fleshly nature, we are still drawn to sin. Paul tells the Ephesians to "put off" the old self with its deceit and corruption and "put on" the new self with its righteousness. Put off lying, and put on truthfulness. Put off stealing, and put on usefulness and work. Put off bitterness, rage, and anger, and put on kindness, compassion, and forgiveness (Ephesians 4:22–32). We have been set free from the bondage of sin, but we often put the chains back on because part of us loves the old life.

Furthermore, often we don't realize that we have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20) and that we have been reborn as completely new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Christian life is one of death to self and rising to "walk in the newness of life" (Romans 6:4), and that new life is characterized by thoughts about Him who saved us, not thoughts about the dead flesh that has been crucified with Christ. When we are continually thinking about ourselves and indulging the flesh in sins we have been freed from, we are essentially carrying around a corpse, full of rottenness and death. The only way to bury it fully is by the power of the Spirit who is the only source of strength. We strengthen the new nature by continually feeding on the Word of God, and through prayer we obtain the power we need to escape the desire to return to the old life of sin. Then we will realize that our new status as slaves to Christ is the only true freedom, and we will call upon His power to "not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires" (Romans 6:12).

dhardline:

The only way you can experience true freedom in Christ is when you have sought out your salvation with fear and trembling and have come to that place where your spirit bares witness with the holy spirit that you are now a child of God. You can't fake this.
And when you are now a child of God you can now have liberty, the liberty you have is not the liberty to sin 'shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid'. But it is the liberty that liberates you from superstitions, legalistic forms such as food, bandage to holy days and seasons etc.
Eg. People being afraid of the sun, stars at night, an eclipse, the wind, the cry of a night bird or barking of dogs at night, always reading meanings into daily occurrences, fear of Devils, combination of numbers and certain days and stars patterns(constellations)

The superstitious man pictures a limited god who created a universe over which he cannot have full control. Therefore he assumes that demons, omens, and the rest roam up and down the earth and god hides in some cosmic closet, afraid of what he has created ;that is defamation of the divine character.
Christian liberty is freedom to live in the spirit and worship God in spirit and in truth.
So be sure that you are a true Christian and not 'I go to church, I pray, I don't steal, lie, fornicate , I pay my tithe and help the needy kind of christian' if this is your view on what Christianity is about then am sorry but you have the wrong notion cause even a Muslim does all this things too.
Shalom

But from d day of creation God has given man free will.
Man can live anyway he likes from beginning
And you being a Christian doesn't change that. You still av ur freedom but it's expected that u now submit ur all to God.. You live as God direct u.

You will always av ur freedom till u die, it's just that obeying God is best. Since He's ur creator and He's commanded u to obey His commandments.
Only d angels don't av freedom.
The only reason God created man was because He wanted a creature that will serve Him by choice not by default..
Ever wondered why man will man keep choosing? It's freedom...

Only if i get ur question embarassed

We should also remember that with freedom comes responsibility. We would be accountable to God at the end of the day.
