Check engine light is really a disturbing thing, i got that last year my friends and mechanic advised me to leave it unless i want to scatter my engine , each time i drove the car i became more scared of massive break down . Finally, i took the risk and gave the car to an unknown guy who did a perfect job for me, fuel economy and many other things restored, till today the car runs like new one.

Mechanics are the real culprit of most cars. Just 3 months ago i changed the gear box of my car and just last week i travelled to Ibadan for a visit. When i got to Ibadan the gear started dragging,it was not moving properly. One Mechanic told me to buy 4litres of gear oil i did no improvement. When then took it to a gear specialist who told me the Mechanic that replaced the Gear box did a wrong connection and the car only showed sign now because i havent travelled with it since i changed the gear box.

Many cases like that, they tell you this is the cause of these problem when you change that it doesnt work, they tell you to change another thing. You keep wasting money on what wasnt even initially faulty.

Sometimes I hear funny noises when driving my car but my bank account balance tells me am imagining things! Sometimes its better to ignore some things ooo! Last year my brother bought a Toyota highlander, everything was in 'almost' perfect condition, only the "check engine" light was on and as a perfectionist, 3 weeks later he decided to go to mechanic to investigate the "check engine" light. To cut the long story short, the car hasn't hit the road again since then even after handcuffing 3 mechanics and sending like 6 to hospital.......

The "check light" used to bother me some years back, but now I see it as a basic necessity cos I've not been seeing the effect on the car.
