They really went too far.. They were telling Lies everywhere.

How can you say you did 9 hours journey from Accra to Cape Coast? Did they go through Kumasi then back to Cape Coast ? grin cheesy grin grin

Another thing was they claim the road was bad? like how? the only bad thing about that stretch of road will be perhaps the traffic situation in Kasoa and sometimes at Winneba round-about and Mankesim round-about but even that they went with a police escort so there's no way they will spend over 3 Hours on the way.

The Bafana Bafana team even reached Cape Coast before Black Stars so why complain?

The road is not bad but the new speed ramps are terrible

Yes but don't blame Ghana Highway authority for the speed ramps cos the speed drivers go on that stretch of road is scary.

It's a highway, they are meant to do those kinds of speed.

No community deserves to be split in two by a highway.

Son,it's closer to all African countries. It's even easier to get feedback since we have people from SA in this thread. That's y I chose to use SA as a benchmark!
Now,since u claim to have a quarter of SA GDP, do u have a quarter of what they have o ground?
SA...40,000 MW. But u have what? A quarter of 40,000..Is it 2,000?

Yes it's a highway but it should be fully dualized before they do that spreading there.

Sometime ago VIP bus nearly run into my car on the Winneba Mankesim stretch.. Some foolish overtaking between this VIP bus ,207bus and a certain tipper truck

GDP is not the most important measure of an economy though, although it shows the output of goods and services in a nation. Therefore it makes sense that all populated countries have a GDP higher than they sometimes would have had. Also resources play a huge role. For instance, Angola and Equatorial Guinea have oil, but this is almost all of what the economies of these countries depend on. Angola have always had a higher GDP than Tanzania, but cities in Angola may be not so developed as cities in Tanzania except probably Luanda.

Nigeria has population, together with good Telecom and Banking sectors and is the tenth largest oil producing nation in the world. She practices non mechanised farming to an extent but still makes amongst the largest numbers in some agricultural produce. Even with all her perceived insecurities, Nigeria is amongst the top three nations with the most FDI's in Africa within the last 10 years ( the others are Egypt and South Africa). So while I agree with you that GDP should show in infrastructure, this isn't always the case like we see especially with Equatorial Guinea and many countries where Oil has been the dominant source of Government revenue for years.
Tanzania though is doing well and has the potential to overtake Kenya in GDP.

KENYANS, WHATS HAPPENING?

Apparently Nakuru has officially been unveiled as the 4th City in Kenya but some haters (especially those from Eldorate) are unhappy and have been throwing shit about Nakuru ever since?

grin cheesy grin cheesy

Some of the comments and pictures are detasteful... I have been monitoring the situation since Monday cool cool Hmmmm, weytin concern me

Nakuru has way greater potential than Eldoret so I don't get what the fuss is all about.

It's very close to Nairobi and the highway between the two cities is currently being expanded. Which will see the whole route grow exponentially with more and more Nairobians moving further from the city because of a good transport network. Majority of whom will also want to invest in this new city.

I learnt the county administrators would first have to apply for a City status then the general assembly (not so sure) would vet your proposals first, if they are convinced before your town would be given a City status. They will look at some criteria and Nakuru did pass all the test.

Nakuru county administration sent their proposals about 4 years back and now they've been given their wish.. Eldorate county authorities are yet to put in their proposal so Im surprised as to why they are fuming over this issue? with all the denigrations, insults, trolling Nakuru people etc.

I feel the problem is because Nakuru was conferred city status first yet both the two towns were approved for elevation back in 2017.

In September 2017, the Cabinet approved the elevation of two more towns to cities under the Urban and Cities Act which includes Nakuru and Eldoret.

Nakuru has taken great strides to reach its city status with lots of investment on infrastructure in and around the city. I still feel it's a big town at the moment but with all the infrastructural projects set to be completed within the next ten years Nakuru is set to be a proper city.
