Who Exactly Is A Developer. by Nobody: 10:58am On Sep 04, 2016
The word Developer seems to have become a title techies describe themselves.
In that respect, I want to know who really is a developer? Who is worthy of the title.?

Thanks for your considerations.

A developer, as the word connotes, can create a complete application from an idea. Figure out the data structure, make trade-offs like an engineer, package it, deploy it, create documentation etc. The whole works.
A programmer can be a developer, the term is often used interchangeably, but sometimes a programmer/coder
may not be a developer. He may be the one that given a design, can bang out the codes.
In large software shops, there's division of labour- so you have architects, system analysts, project managers, developers and programmers/coders. In smaller shops or one person operations - the roles are usually merged.
The term developer seems more professional than 'coder'/programmer so some people prefer it.
The term software engineer is also another oft used (and abused term).
