That's the Nigerian mentality for you. Yet when we go abroad we rush at these so called menial jobs as if our lives depend on it (probably so). You see a medical doctor in Nigeria become a taxi driver in London, an engineer will go there and start washing plates in restaurant, etc

What is one still doing with Gen at midnight, the guards in my area would have knocked on your gate by 11pm to put it off, most people should be familiar with this trick by now, once it goes off that's all for the night

Truth is everyone has their problems and some people work very hard to get where they are. Everyone has a choice. I know of a guy who grew up very poor. He had one pair of jeans and no shoes, but today he is a doctor. He could have easily turned to crime but he did not.

People who commit crimes are simply lazy and evil and no matter how poor you are there is no justification for it. Imagine if everyone who is poor, or going through hardships decides to do crime, what would happen to the country?

Am not justifying what he did. I only showed empathy.

Really? Thank God the gen wasn't on. Hmm i think to be on safer side let use our gen before 12 midnight. Beside it is not good having ur gen running while you re sleeping especially at night, i mean those i pass my neighbour. Unless it is a big one that uses diesel.

the best thing is to put just little fuel that can only last 4hours (7pm-11pm) so the gen can off by 11pm.

So Ishola(yoruba) and Sadiq (hausa) introduced Ogbonna(igbo) to the art of stealing generators? My Igbo brothers...mind the kind of people you mingle with and whenever your relative is involved in any form of crime, he MUST have an "Ishola" somewhere as a friend. This story is solid proof
