This is the STUPIDEST poll ever. It is a poll of performance rather than ability or strategy. Buhari HIMSELF rates his current performance on the economy LOW because the measures put in place have not yielded results. Since the results are expected
in 2017/2018, it is not surprising. So the poll is low IQ all the way. A student who is going to score a has not passed until he has taken the exams. You cannot gauge a harvest while the crops are still in the ground.

Nigeria is trying to beat recession by borrowing and SPENDING on infrastructure but militants have cut FG earnings by 30% and security expenditure is killing other sectors.

Also the whole business of using the word "economic management " is funny. Was Nigeria managing it's economy well since independence?. The answer is NO. Oil prices have been high in cycles of 7 years and we gave spent and wasted money when the price went up. There has never been economic management in Nigeria before Buhari's first regime and later OBJ's first term.

Nigeria is an inefficient and corrupt culture of patronage designed for a rulling class that alternated between the military and civilians. No economic management was ever done because very few members of the rolling class apart from Buhari and a few others ever cared about the masses

The economic fundamentals are very glaring.When your forex revenue drops by 60%,Forex scarcity cannot be avoided.And with an import dependent economy(Is it Buhari's fault?),we are bound to have have import induced inflation cutting across all sectors.


The only way out of recession is enhanced productivity across all sectors of the economy.

Those asking the finance minister to be sacked must be sick in the head! The Finance minister can only MANAGE AVAILABLE FUNDS and funds and probably window dress and manipulate figures,like what Okonjo was doing,as a way of damage control.



Do you sack your company's Chief Financial Officer(CFO) or your Chief Marketing Officer(CMO),if major company revenue drops and your are no longer able to pay your bills like salaries,raw-materials,etc.A sane CEO would go for the jugular of the CMO and definitely not the CFO.

There is a very wide and wrong misconception about the functions of a Finance Minister.

What is the minister of trade and industry doing about creating enabling environment for trade and investments to flourish in Nigeria.How about the minister of PRODUCTIVITY and labour ?

However assuming they are all working,it is still too early to start feeling any way out of recession.
It is surely a long way out of economic recession!

But a sudden jump in oil price to say $100 would surely bring us out of recession,quote me anywhere and remain blessed!
