It simply means that you should dial the number that corresponds to the letters on the phone pads For instance a,b or c will mean that you punch 2; d,e or f will mean 3 and so on and so forth.

Then throw the blackberry away and get a normal phone

yes u can dial those numbers,any number after the 11th digit is insignificant.

Use this table

abc = 2
def = 3
ghi = 4
jkl = 5
mno = 6
pqrs = 7
tuv = 8
wxyz = 9

Usage:
080dualcore
from the above table, substitute the alphabets with corresponding number

for 080dualcore

d falls under 3
u falls under 8
a falls under 2
l falls under 5
c falls under 2
o falls under 6
r falls under 7
e falls under 3

therefore, 080dualcore (by substitution) = 08038252673
