Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mrs Gloria Izonfo as a Federal Commissioner, in the National Population Commission (NPC).

Gloria Izonfo is from Kolokumo/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and has served in different capacities both private and in the civil service.

Until her appointment, she was the first female appointed Head of Service in Bayelsa State and later retired in 2012.

She is married with children.

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mrs Gloria Izonfo as a Federal Commissioner, in the National Population Commission (NPC).

Some people might misunderstand this news as if she is the CHAIRMAN of the Commission. She is a 'mere commissioner ' which is no big deal. Why not make her the Chairperson - if the lopsidedness in appointments is being corrected.
