Let's start by understanding how the body works. Three major process that must complete a circuit the completion of the first one triggers the onset of the other.

Metabolism; when you eat, your stomach like a kitchen blender breaks down your food into smaller bits, the small intestine further process the food in a wavelike peristalsis into chyme. A semisolid material that can be absorbed.
Absorption - the walls of the intestine absorbs nutrients into the blood stream where it can be transported to the various cells of the body where they serve as food. leaving the roughage to be moved into the large intestine for further absorption before it is passed out as faces.
Flow - the blood stream which is the transport unit of the body carries oxygen, nutrients to various parts of the body including the heart and brain. Until these process are complete the body doesn't get the nutrients it needs to repair, rebuild and protect itself after a while the body starts to complain in form of illness and diseases. Let's assume you eat a balanced diet but very late in the night, it won't digest then the next process can't take place so you eat but the body doesn't. Maybe after eating your food is digested but the walls of the intestine are clogged with previous food that weren't digested and so can not absorption it also means your body is starving even after you've eaten so also if the from first two processes went smoothly but the blood stream can't transport because of blockage cause by fat deposit it also means the cells of the body does not get the nutrients intended for their well being.

Over 80% of health issues can be linked to our diet. What we eat, how we eat and when we eat. If the issue started from our diet then it can be fixed with our diet. The list is endless, the names are frightening, the effects are life threatening from headache to migraine to high blood pressure to diabetics to cancer, if it started with you diet it can be fixed with your diet.

Learn how to stay healthy eating right and doing the right things.

Good morning house, hope we all woke up fine without constipation or bloatedness. If yes that is a sign of indigestion you might have eaten a good meal last night but you body did not get anything it is a simple process of garbage in garbage out.

A colon cleanse would be appropriate. Let start where we left off yesterday how do I ensure that this trio process goes on smoothly so that my body can get needed nutrients to run smoothly without complains (sickness ). The first part Metabolism - many times we eat to satisfy our hungry and taste bud but while we do that let us be conscious that what we put in our stomach is what we eventually become ; obesed, malnourished, healthy or sick. Before you eat consider the food well apart from satisfying your taste and hunger what good will it do to your body? Very important question, if you are eating refined flour for example it could be bread, pastries etc it end up turning to glue in your stomach because it is devoid of fiber and nutrients so it will not, I repeat will not digest. I am sure we know what glue is uses for, that is exactly what it does in the stomach it sticks to the walls of the stomach making it difficult for other food to be digested and absorbed. Instead of white bread consider whole wheat bread or better still cut down on your bread intake. Before eating try to have as much raw veg as possible on your plate. Reason they contain fiber which help your food to digest fast don't forget as much raw as possible like onions, tomato, carrots, cabbage, green leaves, cucumber. When we expose food to heat, most of the nutrients are lost but we can supplement but garnishing with raw veg. Let's start introducing this even to our children their generation is at a greater risk cos they are being raised mainly on sugar. Don't turn your stomach to a dustbin, eat to stay healthy eat right

TOMATO
Tomato is red and usually has four chambers, just like our heart. Tomatoes are also a great source of lycopene, a plant chemical that reduces the risk of heart disease and several cancers. Lycopene prevented coronary heart disease.

Tomatoes should best be eaten on an empty stomach.
Tomato is a rich source of antioxidants Beta Carotene, Lycopene, lutein and zeaxanthin.
Tomatoes have more vitamin A, B and C as compared to an oranges or grapes, on a weight to weight ratio.

Four tomatoes a day fulfils the body's daily requirement of vitamin A. The vitamin C content removes toxins from the body.
Tomatoes also have a very high Iron content.

In pregnancy, extra iron is needed on a daily basis and tomatoes can really be a great help here, in preventing anaemia in pregnancy. It would not be out of context to mention here that tomato has 5 times as much iron as an egg.

Drinking a glass of tomato juice increases the hemoglobin levels.

Tomatoes give strength to the liver and lungs, increase memory, reduce blood pressure, reduce obesity and prevent skin diseases.
- Helps prevent several kinds of cancer
- Good for your kidneys
- Helps repair damage caused by smoking.
- Good for your skin.
- Good for your vision
- Full of anti-oxidants
- Helps maintain strong bones
- Good for your hair.
Tomatoes are 'Stroke Preventers' -

Try a glass of raw tomato everyday for week and share your experience with the house if you can't do that start by slicing it on your food raw. Have a healthy day

Good morning everyone Hope we slept well and woke up fine. Here are tips on how to avoid indigestion. Don't eat late night dinner. Dinner should be by 6pm. Don't drink cold beverages, soda, water while you eat. Only sip water in between meals don't gulp. Your water should be warm or room temperature. Chew your food very well before swallowing. Eat small at each meal. Ensure your food contain lots of fiber. Cut down on processed food. Dinner should be light and moderate. Add raw vegetables to you food. Fruits should be before meals not after. Do's and Don't are not meant to be a burden but a guide. Eat right and stay healthy.

Good morning everyone, hope we are all good this morning. Hope we tried our hands on lots of vegetables this holiday break since we didn't go to work. Let's also try eating dinner by 6pm and observe how we feel the following morning.
A good imaginary picture of the colon is a sewage
pipe or gutter if left unclean for a long time breeds bacteria which can cause diseases. The same way we wash and sanitize our gutter or sewage passage to avoid out break of disease is the same way we ought to be concerned about our colon. Your bowel is expected to move daily if possible more than once not excreting regular should be a thing of concern because the longer waste materials stays in the colon the more bacterial breed. In order to have a healthy colon be sure to have a bowel movement at least once everyday. for people that have difficulty in this area check what you are eating, eat food rich in fiber, fruits and drink lot of water (first thing in the morning, last thing at night ). A colon cleansing is also necessary periodically that is washing and detoxifying the colon.

Here is a simple tip on cleansing the colon 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 tablespoon lemon, 2tablespoon apple cider in 25cl of warm water to be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for a week. Eat right and stay healthy
