My fellow Nairalanders please your sincere comments are needed here. A man who was tricked by his father in law to fund two different ceremonies where the two families were fully represented here in Lagos after which the approved family marriage list was obtained and the guy's family proceeded to the wife's village in Umuahia for what they called the main marriage ceremony where things on the list were fulfilled in the presence of over 50 witnesses. Now we understand that the dowry is always written and spelt out on the list. But the father in law came secretly and wispered in the ear of the young man that he didn't collect any dowry from him and never mentioned what the dowry is but kept resounding such in the ears of the young innocent man alone. The marriage has been under severe attack from the first day till now. 15 years had gone by it's been problems upon problems. The wife even confessed that she was told by someone that looked like her father in the dream that her husband will keep suffering except she returned home and leave her husband because he didn't pay her dowry. On the physical the father inlaw wants his daughter back to his house and keeps supporting his daughtter's unwifely attitudes toward her husband. And the wife is so stubborn, proud and so disrespectful. Is it wrong for the husband to send the wife to her father to know the meaning of all these? What is your opinion? |
