Chiznonso: and what is the end result. are the girls getting better offer now cus Ijaw man was president have the girls stopped ashawo work and now work in offices cus of your agitations? give them resource control and things will still remain the same, the 13% and NNDC is enough evidence of what will happen if more money or resources are giving. The only result of militancy is billions getting into the hand of a few while the community suffers! 8 Likes |

antispexish: Are the Niger Delta People complaining about Militancy? All the fishes in the Rivers of Niger Delta, if U export them, U cant get up to $300m in a year, yet in 2014 Nigeria made $99bn from Oil and Gas exports plus 2500KW of daily domestic Electricity. Baba its their Oil who God don bless, no man can curse better go and collect your Cocoa Seedlings, they have the right to demand as much as possible from it, speaking the only Language Nigerian Govt understands which is Militancy. the Writer was talking about jobs in Warri, if there were jobs and wealth in warri, why do all the Comedians in Nigeria joke about the high level of poverty in Warri? 2 Likes 1 Share |

This man is indeed a very brilliant Waferian. You are supposed to be the minister for Niger Delta Delta. The Delta militants are fighting for for things below the ground, not in their heads. No one is ready to GO AND DIE in Warri. 3 Likes |

Nonsense write up. If that is not the way for the Niger Delta to agitate, can he kindly suggest the right way. Because the fact still remains that there is an injustice taking place in the Niger delta and these injustices need to be addressed in whatsoever way. There are omonile in Lagos but did it stop the companies from operating there? This blackmail of the Niger delta is getting out of hand 1 Like 1 Share |

FG would have avoided all these mess by giving full resource control from the very beginning, No, they were very busy, controlling from the centre, sharing oil blocks to themselves, to the extent an Oil block producing 250,000 barrels a day( more than Gabon total production) pushed an ordinary Fashion Designer to the Richest Black Woman on Earth. No there's fire on the Mountain, they have retorted to plan B, 4 Likes 1 Share |

Chiznonso:what did an ijaw president do about what you just wrote up their! Get the writers point, no job in WarrI again, that's why the comedians now joke about poverty in Warri. you have not Pointed out any benefit of militancy to the Niger delta region. While other regions where fighting in the education and social development race , some where advancing the technology behind sapele water, now you see the end result. In development, their must be a chain, one step after the other ,as the chain advances it pulls along the other parts , that is development. A cocoa farmer send his sons to school, one becomes a lawyer, the other an engineer, they both come back home and help the cocoa farm industry grow. same with other artisans and farmers, this chain of development does not happen in the Niger delta, they just want to control the resources without working towards it. As they where late (and still far behind)in development, they have no choice than to be late in resource control, that's the fact of life. 8 Likes |

newbornmacho: Dude, but why are you not holding your state leaders and local govt leaders accountable? They are embezzling the money allocated to your states and yet you guys only point to the fed govt or to the north. Why don't the youth march to the state house of assembly or to there local govt administration and demand a change instead you guys are pointing to Abuja. Mr. Man, if you are this concerned why don't you at least phone (or protest) your state representatives and tell them to focus on the issues that affect the region like passing a bill that would deregulate the oil and gas sector and provide jobs and economic prosperity to the Niger Delta. This is what they should be doing instead of embezzling money. 3 Likes |

AntiIPOB: I pity U, the problem is that U have no clue about the Macroeconomic Role Oil and Gas plays in Nigeria. See how it plays now, Niger delta is the only productive area in the Nigerian Economy, the rest of Nigeria exports just 4% of the entire Export volume, ND exports 96%, infact Niger Delta is the most productive region in Africa after Libya Oil field which is riddled by terrorist, it's even more productive than South Africa's Gold mines. Lagos is just the Consumer Capital of Nigeria, where majority of Nigeria's middle to Upper Class reside plus the seaports since we are an import-dependent economy. What does Lagos export, the industries in Lagos produces what Nigerians consume not foreigners, no dollar revenue comes in through Lagos. U have absolute no Idea, U have no idea, stop this crap about diversificatoon, I know it's coming but right now, Niger Delta is King , do U know how many years it will take to diversify. U don't know how lucky U are to have Niger Delta in your country, y is South Sudan and Sudan fighting? 2 Likes |
