"Another muslim again "   that is what one wants to say after reading the following  report from BBC
<<On Sunday, Muslim state governor Umaru Yar'Adua was selected by the ruling party to contest the April 2007 poll.
, The reclusive northerner will be favourite having received support from outgoing President Olusegun Obasanjo, leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). >>

Who cares about what the BBC says when all they see is muslim or christain.

A governor emerged as the presidential flag bearer of a party and all they could do is attach muslim to his name.

Yet, they don't do the same when addressing christains that are leaders, sheer hypocrisy and religous bigotry.

Nigeria is a country made up of people from different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds so these foreign media should stop trying to create unnecessary impressions that Nigeria may be falling into the hands of muslims which they ignorantly associate with terrorism today.

shehu shagari , Buhari, Babandjida, sani Abacha, Obasanjo, etc . It Is somewhat curious all those people come from the same religious group. This is one reason why some nigerian christians want to separate.Electing a muslim is bad if a muslim has the one who has to be elected every single time or if a coup leader is always a muslim general.

Has OBJ ever been a muslim? Just asking, maybe there are a lot of things we still don't know in Nigeria.

southwest did not vote for Mr Obasanjo, seeing him as a traitor to Yoruba ideals . many see him as a puppet.
When one part of a country wants to cling to power by the means of military coup or by using some Yes-men, it generates more frustration and sends a wrong message to the whole continent. Nobody wants this country of more than 100 millions people to fall apart. let's put religion aside and talk skills

Wole soyinka for president.

and Emeagwali for Vice President.

This is another case of never see anything good coming out of Nigeria. People here in the forum are sad people who are piqued by other people's sucess and even the success of the country Nigeria.
