UEFA has postponed the Champions League match between English club Manchester City and German counterpart Borussia Monchengladbach. Heavy rain, thunder and lighting hit Manchester on Tuesday evening and 15 minutes before kick-off it was announced that the match was abandoned.

The game originally scheduled for 7:45pm Nigerian Time today being September 2016 was meant to be Pep Guardiola‘s first match with City in the group stage of the competition was postponed due to bad weather conditions.

Both teams had already released their line ups before the postponement.
