A group known as Zero Tolerance and Anti-Corruption Initiative has accused the Deputy Director of the Satellite Town Development Agency, Engr. Felix Jacob of fraudulently acquiring assets to the tune of N300m.

Aljazirahnews gathered from the petition, a copy of which was obtained by the medium that the indicted public officer corruptly enriched himself through the syphoning of public funds allocated to the agency.

The petition which was signed by the director of the group, Dr. Abdulrahman Sule, tasked security and anti-graft agencies to investigate their claims.

The petition stressed that it will “be an aberration for such a deputy director in a public office to have turned a multimillionaire overnight considering his lavish lifestyle and capacity to acquire expensive properties that does not reflect his income.’’

The group also specifically alleged that Jacob owns a N300m worth of mansion located at Apo resettlement Estate, Zone D close to NEPA office.

According to the petition, the total worth of illegal assets owned by the public officer including the home is worth over N500m.

“This is impossible based on earnings from his salaries and allowances even in three decades without him spending a kobo from it,’’ the petition noted.

The group has called for the arrest and prosecution of Jacob in line with the anti-corruption crusade of President Muhammadu Buhari in dealing with fraudulent public officers.

Aljazirahnews could not independently validate the claims in the petition as it could not reach out to Jacob.

It is however still taking measures to get his reaction for a subsequent publication.

The Satellite Towns Development Agency (STDA) which has been transferred to the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), as the Department of Satellite Towns Infrastructure (DSTI) is in charge of Engineering aspects of development.




The vision of the DSTI is to run the department as a highly professional government establishment through the provision of efficient engineering infrastructure while the mission is to provide functional, efficient and cost effective services in the satellite towns of the Federal Capital Territory.

Little known by many, the department has the responsibilities to open up and develop the Satellite Towns by providing infrastructural facilities to the teeming rural dwellers, thereby improving their living standards.

It also aims at providing a better environment through the provision of basic amenities which would further reduce the pressure already existing in the capital city, to develop and upgrade the Satellite Towns
