Fans favorite, Davido is watching his hard earned career washing away after he has failed to drop any single for over 11months

The last song fans heard from the HKN star was ‘The Money’ featuring Olamide on November 7, 2015.

The hit track ‘The Money’ was even released to usher in a new era as it was meant to precede the release of Davido’s sophomore album.

Tho fans were disappointed when the much anticipated album didn't drop, a silver lining appeared in the form of a new international record label deal with Sony Music Worldwide, a first of it's kind for any Nigerian artiste.

News from HKN in January when he signed the new mega deal, said that the album was pushed because of logistics relating to the new deal


Weeks after the Sony deal, it was announced that Davido was all set to release an EP titled Son Of Mercy.
Tho the weeks turned to month, his fans were still patient as the Ekuro singer kept all his followers updated with his various studio sessions via Snapchat..

The ardent fans thought they got their reward when Davido announced on all his social media accounts that September 9th will be the release date for his EP: Son of Mercy and his song with american singer Tinashe only for their hopes to get bashed once again, when Davido said 'It was not his fault, that he can't drop his song again'
 
His fans are now worried and according to a poll shared on twitter many believe Sony Music is holding their Pop star back. And their reason can't be blamed, since despite the fact that he hasn't dropped a single song in 11 months, Davido has featured on 24 different collaborations with many more unreleased collabos.

These hit collabos according to Pundits is one of the only reason the RCA records star has managed to remain relevant in an industry where a blazing flame today has no guarantee of a shining tommorow. Has Davido sweet blessing turn sour, is our Nigerian music that impossible to sell in world market, or is it just 'the curse of the International labels'.
