some apps may require rooting to install. I don't know what app is refusing to install on your phone.
and surely internal storage can't be exactly 16G, your phone system applications would take up some space(sometimes up to 4G).

Op don't tell me u actually think u can have 16gb free space on a 16gb phone. Then what space is the os using? What about system apps and bloatware? If u get 11-12gb out of the box that is normal.

If u think that's too much then go check out galaxy s7. The 32gb model only has about 24gb available space. That's 8gb already used out of the box, that's a quarter of ur total storage.

OP, you must be sleeping on a moving bike if your phone factory memory is 16gb and you expect see the available space to the 16gb

Mine came with 16gb but the application software consumed almost half of it leaving only 8gb
