I am glad that it worked. However I am saddened by the apparent selfishness of prez Buhari. Why did he not advise the previous administration to do it?

The thousands of lives lost could have been saved! African politicians and their selfishness
He wanted to score cheap political goals.. Ultimately human and human blood means nothing to him. what a wasted souls....

APC funny shaa. You guys thought that we do not know that you have bought over all the media houses not to publish the attacks by BH. During GEJ"s administration, if Boko Harram kill one person APC with the help of the media would write 100 people, the Zombies can testify that you don't see BH attacks on front page of newspaper again like before, the Zombies can be fair enough to ask why

Tukur "Dubai" Burutai

As a top military officer, did you suggest this to the last administration? So it took a 72yr old retired military officer to cone tell young officers like yourself what needed to be done?

See self indictment from a top army general who needed to be micro-managed before he can perform.

Did he have the ear of the then president?
Who was the Chief of army staff then? They should have done that , but of course they wouldn't want to advice the then president. They didn't want to die, and also were more interested in stealing funds meant for weapons.
If they had advised President Jonathan like that, they would have also been in the forefront of the battle they couldn't have won since they lacked the weapons to do so.

I wander why some pple are not happy that this regime is succeding in tackling this Boko Haram crisis, are they just happy to continue hearing news of people being killed and maimed almost everyday just because of hatred for the govt that is achieving this.I rememba when PMB was not in power die hard supporters of defeated Lootery peoples Party were calaiming he is their sponsor. Now that he is dealing with them they are still not happy. Its just the devilish act of corruption which gave some pple mind to embezzle the fund budgeted to fight Boko Haram and stop the killing of innocent people that did not make them succeed. If the former govt had put in this kind of effort of the present regime to tackle this they would have ended the killings then.

Its very clear to see
...

Little wonder why some people become atheists..... Where is the proof that they worship God? After all the talks of upright Muslim and foremost Christian.....

Everybody In apc is now corruption free.... I hail you and your logic....

And this presidential directive did not exist UNTIL his corruption case was brought up and swiftly hidden again.....why can't you ask yourself what d truth is....

M not even pro Jonathan or woreva they are all thieves....

But the last govt was far smart and intelligent....

Its laughable to see almost all the policies that were stalled because the opposition (buhari etc) kicked against them now implemented hastily by the current govt (buhari etc).....

Does that not tell you how different things would have been/

Problem with people like you is you believe everything in the newspaper....

I cant reply you again...

You should pay for lectures....

There's nothing intelligent in spending money like a drunken sailor.

The times of high oil prices have been frittered away.

Try as we may to rewrite history the facts remain that money was neither judiciously used nor adequately saved.

Was Burutai not the Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MJTNF) in the fight against insurgency in the north-east during GEJ's time? How much of the president's "ears" could he have had?

The excuses is becoming rather appalling.
