DISTURBED by the continued complaints of traffic obstructions by cows either roaming or being reared in Abuja metropolis, despite several warnings by the authorities of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, the Senate Committee on FCT yesterday ordered the slaughtering of any cows found in the nation’s capital and its environment. Chairman of the committee, Senator Dino Melaye (APC Kogi West) gave the order to the Minister of FCT, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, when he appeared before the committee at the National Assembly, Abuja, but gave an option of N50, 000 as fine to be paid per cow to avoid such stiffer punishment.
