Wouldn't it hve been possible to catch the aligator alive and keep it with the eggs in a cage so the eggs can hatch while their mother take care of them to some extent where they can take care of themselves. Then u can kill the mother and train the rest. Just thinking out loud.

Evening Of Fun At Gbagada Swampy Area. Alligator And Its Eggs Were On The Menu.

A big Alligator was caught around the swampy area of Gbadaga Lagos, and the guys did the Nigerian usual to the harmless creature. It was ready in couple of hours.

Even monitor lizards which are smaller species can bite humans..
