Mr Goodluck Okoro Becomes The First Male First Class In Radiography, University by lambros(f): 9:26am On Sep 29, 2016
On sat, 23rd of September 2016, history was made in the Department of Radiography and Radiological Science, College of Medical Science, University Of Calabar, as the department produced its first ever male first-class graduant. The 10th Induction and Oath-taking ceremony for graduating students of the above mentioned department will remain a memorable one in the hearts of the staff and students of the Department of Radiography and Radiological Science, University of Calabar.
From the inception of the department, there had never been a first class graduant except for one Ms Eteng Rejuno who broke the jinx in 2014.
The Abia State born, Mr Goodluck Okoro, made history by becoming not only the first male first class graduant but also the all time best graduating student of the Department of Radiography and Radiological Science, University of Calabar.

A total of 59 inductees filed into the UNICAL International Conference Centre, with their faces beaming with smiles; as they were joined by their families, friends and well wishers.
The occassion came to a climax when Mr.Goodluck Okoro (the first class student who had Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.51 – the highest recorded since the institution started awarding Bachelor degree in the discipline) gave his valedictory speech. For his excellent academic perfomance he was offered an automatic employment in the department after his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

Goodluck Okoro did not only impress the entire university with his first class perfomance, but also bagged FIVE (5) Awards out of the available EIGHT (cool Awards.
