STATE OF THE NATION -
By Festus Keyamo

I notice most Nigerians are angry about looting because they were not part of the looting. Their anger subsides when they get into the system.

Before one can be entrusted with public funds, he/she must have honestly managed smaller enterprises. Most of our politicians have not done this.

Shocking to see former public officers make inciting comments about North/South, Christian/Muslim divide because they lost out in the power game.

When the largely misguided lot on Social Media are baying for blood, those who've held public office & the elites should temper their comments.

Truth is, our separation as a people is no longer feasible. Our long history of criss-cross marriages & investments is 'till death do us part'.

We must differentiate those crying of hardship because their loots have been taken away and the truly downtrodden with whom we must identify.

When you chase thieves, they may run into a crowd of dancers & start dancing to avoid detection. Imagine looters joining others to complain!

If those who stole us blind in times of plenty take charge again in times of need, even the little we now have would be heartlessly taken away.

We must keep up the tempo of criticizing this govt, but it is better to have a well-acknowledged frugal President at this time of global recession.

Those playing politics & saying recession is only in Nigeria, just pick up your phone now & google 'oil-exporting countries in recession'.

When you struggle to buy data to defend someone who stole your $31m, then we must know the person who placed a curse on you to appease him to free you!

- Festus Keyamo.

Laughable. Keyamo has lost his mind. Scotland was part of the UK for over 350 years. Long before the Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa man even knew who each other were. That did not stop Scotland from almost seceding in 2014. Scotland is even planning another referendum for next year. But it is Nigeria that is roughly a hundred years old that Keyamo is saying 'till death do us part'? Keyamo needs to go back to school
