Happy Independence day to Nigeria. I pray that as You celebrate Your 56th Independence;

May You be truly independent
May You be free from Nepotism
May You be free from Tribalism
May You be free from Terrorism
May you be free from Vandalism
May You be free from Corruption
May Your currency begin to appreciate
May Your President find a way out of this recession rather than blaming his predecessors

May Your Government stop selling Your Assets and find a way to save Your economy


May Your leaders be Honest

May Your youth take up responsibility and stop passing blames

May Nollywood preserve Your culture rather than display of sexuality

May Your youth uphold Your values and culture rather than portraying You as a bad country abroad

May You keep your innovative youth to develop Your land rather than sending them abroad to be used in foreign land

May Your parents ensure that children pass exams on their own rather than enrolling them in special centres for malpractices

May Your politicians agendum change from 1-meal per day to 3-meal per day

May Your refineries produce enough fuel for consumption

May You produce enough food to feed Your citizens and stop importing what You can produce

May You diversify Your economy and stop depending on oil

May Niger Delta Avengers stop the vandalism

May Fulani herdmen stop the killings

May Your National Assembly cut Her expenses and allowances

May Your youth be gainfully employed

May Your President stop the witch-hunting in fighting corruption but also scrutinize His party members

May Your Education sector get better as You equip the schools with learning aids and facilities

May Your Health sector get better so that Your President won't be traveling abroad for common ear treatment


*I pray that*

Violence will not be heard in your land again

Your wall shall be called salvation and Your gate be called praise

May Your leaders be God fearing and exact true justice

*May Your youth be truly be leaders of tomorrow and not the same old leaders ruling again*

May Your citizens never go hungry again but have enough to eat

May all Your people be righteous



May You find a way out from these problems and have something good to celebrate about in the next independence
