The Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria yesterday announced they have expelled top Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, from the Hausa film industry because she featured in a romantic musical video by Jos born singer, ClassiQ and hugged, cuddled the music artist.

Please share my petition on your site, or perhaps just give your voice to those calling for more fairness in the matter.
The people that did this are being inspired by the same religious puritanism that inspired Boko Haram, please help poor northern girls know that it's not a crime to hug or be hugged, it's not crime to do what men are allowed to do everyday of their lives.

As for us, Nollywood and Music as well as comedy, i wonder why we are just ok with colonizing just sub-saharan Africa and parts of the carribean. I think that now and after our dominance of Africa and parts of the carribean, we should be looking at taking our culture to north Africa and the middle east, as well as Europe, especially the UK where we have a huge African and carribean immigrants; we should also be looking at the latin America too especially because they are the most culturally similar to us Africans. We don't need to get into the US as i think it will be a bit more difficult, we should look at the islands in the Indian and Pacific ocean too. These people in the global south are more like us culturally and are more likely to accept our music and movies than anyone else.

I will forever credit the reject of film village proposed by federal government in Kano State by clerics.
The immorality that would have been experienced will be less or equal to that of Hollywood.
