Some group of Nigerians have said that crushing Boko Haram with no form of help from outsiders has genuinely demonstrated that Nigeria is independent.

The group, the Global Excellence Foundation said the country has really demonstrated its freedom with the exercises of the military in the North East. Talking yesterday, September 30, the establishment’s nation chief Yemi Ola while observing Nigeria’s freedom commemoration said Nigerians must praise themselves particularly in our current reality where a couple of countries are in the position to make major decisions.


“Therefore alone, the 2016 Independence Day merits celebrating as Nigerians can now brag as free subjects of the world to be free from the hooks of fear mongers who once held us to payment,” Ola said.
