Though critics and sceptics have critisiced and questioned the rationale of putting for sale just two presidential jets out of 10 in the presidential hanger. In the words of William Igboechine, a social critic “what is the remaining eight jests doing in the hanger ? The presidency shouldn’t have more than three jets. This is after considering the economic situation of the country today. There is no need for many jets that is constituting a liability .” he opined .

Though, in some quarters ,this singular move by the presidency has been lauded and called exemplary act of leadership and a show of statesman patriotism. Leadership is by example, so they said. When the president launched “change begins with you” it was dismissed with a wave of hand ,but with the intended sale of twenty percent of the fleet of jets in presidential hanger ,people are beginning to take the “change notion” serious.
