Telecom operator, Globacom, has switched on the mobile 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network nationwide.

The operator said its subscribers in several parts of Nigeria can immediately connect to Glo 4G LTE network. Among the cities where the service is already live are Lagos, Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Abuja in the Federal Capital City, Jos in Plateau State, Warri in Delta State, Eket in Akwa Ibom State, Benin City in Edo State, Yola in Adamawa State and Zaria in Kaduna State while roll-out to other major cities of the country will happen in days ahead.

Glo 4G LTE data plans range from as low as ₦500, for 1.6GB (1 week) to as high as ₦18,000, for 90GB (30 days).

Just like Mtn, checking your smartphone’s compatibility is also very simple on Glo. All you need to do is to text 4G to 400 and you will receive a message telling you if your phone is compatible or not. So far these are the most competitive prices yet for mobile 4G LTE in Nigeria.

How To Activate The Glo 4G LTE
First, make sure your smartphone is compatible with the 4G network.
Visit any Glo service center to purchase a 4G Glo sim or to swap your old Glo sim for a 4G sim.
Activate the sim card and dial *777# to choose from the list of available Glo’s data plans.
