Passionate, hard working, and results oriented individuals needed at a South African business school.

The Sales Development Representative is an entry level position and will generate buying demand for the schools' programmes from individuals and organisations throughout West Africa. This position is based in Victoria Island, Lagos and will require daily attendance at our Lagos offices.

A typical workday is comprised of making 50-80 calls to individuals who are seeking career advancement and encouraging them to meet with our consultants to discuss their career development goals. Sometimes you will have to talk the customer through the download and completion of our application form. A typical workday is comprised of using various internet based research resources to locate prospects for the school’s programmes and making 50-80 calls to engage key contacts. In addition you will be calling those people who have requested information about our programmes.

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for driving market share and qualifying leads. The Sales Development Representative will also be responsible for running regional campaigns focused primarily on cold calling, developing and qualifying leads. A key requirement is to conduct business dealings with prospects/customers in a way that creates a superior prospect/customer experience that will set the stage for future referrals for The School.

Specific Responsibilities

- Making 50-80 calls per day to build and manage lead development pipeline
- Prospect via cold-calling, networking, e-mail/e-marketing, and utilizing Internet information sources
- Articulate the School's value proposition to decision-makers to assess buying interest.
- Achieve or exceed goal for evaluations and first meetings on a monthly basis
- Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions
- Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call
- Develop superior customer service relationship with prospects
- Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the School programmes – and clearly articulate benefits to prospective customers
- Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance and data entry, correspondence, and communications)
- Provide daily activity report
- Social Media Monitoring: Engaging with social media platforms, creating alerts on keywords, researching topics and sharing information with individuals responsible for producing the content and responses

Required Qualifications:

- 2+ years business experience
- Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening and cold-calling
- Knowledge of marketing techniques and databases used in marketing a plus
- Experience with CRM a plus
- Solid understanding of social media tools and vehicles including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and monitoring tools.
