Consider the following tips: 1.Apply an antiperspirant at bedtime. This gives the product a chance to work while you sleep and are not sweating. If you apply antiperspirants after showering in the morning, the sweat you accumulate will wash away the product and render you defenseless against daytime sweating. Remember, deodorants do not prevent sweating. They mainly mask the smell of the sweat on your skin. Antiperspirants are chemical agents that reduce sweating. Many antiperspirant preparations also contain a deodorant, which helps to mask the smell. Check the product you use to make sure it contains an antiperspirant. A good product to consider is hydrosol antiperspirant, very effective. 2.Keep your underarms dry. Bacteria have a hard time breeding in dry areas of the body. 3.Try a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water to fight body odor. Use 1 teaspoon of peroxide (3%) to 1 cup (8 ounces) of water. Wipe this on affected areas (underarm, feet, groin) with a washcloth. This may help destroy some of the bacteria that creates odor. 4.If sweat from working out is your No. 1 cause of body odor, wash your workout clothes often. Sweaty gym clothes are a bacteria-breeding ground. 5.Change your diet. Sometimes, fatty foods, oils, or strong-smelling foods such as garlic, curry, and onions, can seep through your pores and cause body odor. 6.If you have excessive sweating (called hyperhidrosis), talk to your doctor. There are a few treatment options for those with more severe sweating who desire more aggressive treatments. Also, certain medical problems can lead to excessive sweating. Your doctor can make a diagnosis and prescribe treatment. 7. Shaving your underarm regularly will help prevent the accumulation of bacteria and can reduce sweat and odor. Goodluck. 3 Likes |

mikemikoo2 Try using anti perspirant-roll and perfume together Wear all your clothes once not twice Rinse your clothes very well when you wash them, spread only in hot sun, inside out. Reduce the amount of spices (salt, pepper, garlic curry etc) Shower at least twice a day or when you sweat Switch to normal soap or a natural soap. Sometimes your diet and how your body breaks down your food is important to normal metabolism.... let me suggest you eat at least two cloves of garlic... it's will smell initially but after a while of cleansing your body you won't smell that bad instead the garlic smell which is tolerable will prevail.. Try this and thank me later... [b] mikemikoo2: Hello all. I had to create a new account for this just so I wont get laughed at. Ive been battling with body odour for about 2 years now. It has defied all physical measures such as hygiene and deodorants. Ive tried damn near all deodorants I can find in the store. Ive also tried things like lime, lemon, vinegar, baking soda and the likes. I dont even perspire much but when I put on any anti perspirant, I get smelly in no time without sweating. I think the culprit is my underarm but I shave all the time and wash up properly. I went to the hospital and took blood tests and everything came out normal. I have decided to try traditional means such as iya alagbon and the likes as I hear some of them are very good. Please help recommend any solution apart from hygiene and shaving. Please I beg, this thing has put my life on a stand still as I cant mingle and move about freely without people rubbing their noses and making faces at me. It has made me suicidal. Who wouldve thought id end up with such issues? Also please if u know any good traditional specialist in things like this, kindly let me know. Im in lagos. shave ur armpit often, if d hairs grow too often apply lime under d armpit after bathing morning and at night use a good deodorant, i recommend "old spice" stick rollon.... it will keep u dry nd it lasts long wear more of cotton clothes dat would do the trick thank me later |
