Copied From one Dr. Nura Khalifa for your reading: Judges may be VIPs but they are not above the law, and when they commit heinous crimes, they are treated like criminals. There is no law sayin g judges can't have their houses raided when arresting them and preventing them from tampering with evidence. The FBI does it regularly in the US. If you disagree, please read the story of Rep. William J. Jefferson of Louisiana (of the Atiku Abubakar fame) whose house and two offices were raided by the FBI during an investigation into a bribe he collected from a telecom company to help influence US government contracts. He was later arrested, prosecuted successfully and sent to prison. Now, if there is an order of merit for federal lawmakers and judges in the US, lawmakers should be superior. Nigeria follows the US style of government even if she borrowed English Common Law. So, because the house of a judge was never raided before in Nigeria doesn't make it illegal to do so with cogent reasons. Lawyers have been talking of the DSS inviting the judges instead of raiding their homes. That is laughable. Even me who knows little about the law of evidence will be smart enough to hide all those dollars and pounds if given 20 minutes notice of DSS wanting to question me or search my house. By the way, the FBI found $90,000 hidden in Rep. Jefferson's refrigrator. Google and read that story before we argue further. And if I find time, I can retrieve stories of US law-enforcement officers raiding the house of a judge in the middle of the night and prosecuting him successfully in court. |

Believe it or not, Buhari has killed our Democracy. He will even kill it more if re-elected by 2019. I'm not a politician neither will I become one or supporter of any political party. But I will always say the fact and commend any political party that did well. Anyone that says that Buhari's administration is doing good, May his/her life be kept the way Buhari's Administration has kept Nigeria. Amen. 1 Like |

] There is UNITY IN CORRUPTION.. Governor Wike wanted to commit suicide to saved Justice Liman, a Muslim, Hausa/fulani, a Northerner, Aboki and Buhari's brother. Are they not supposed to be fighting? The way Wike did to obstruct Liman's arrest, definitely he can't render such assistance to Rev. Father Mbaka. Lanre Lawal 2 Likes 1 Share |

I dont know much about laws but wont it be stupid if the constituition actually states search and arrest warrant cant be executed at particular hours of the day? So if a kidnaped victim is being held in a suspect house of which he intends to kill him/her in the midnight , the police would have to chill outside is really sidence till the next morning before searching his house?.......... The people who write our laws are either stupid or confused. 3 Likes |

My worry is that, there is no place the DSS official will go without them seeing millions of dollars, but if the masses demand for the said money, they will tell us it was just a little sum. I remember when they told us how they saw and recovered cartons of raw dollars in the Akwa Ibom State government house, but history is the rest of the story today. May God help us o. 1 Like |

Jirate:I dont know much about law but i believe the DSs require a search and arrest warrant to arrest those judges and remember the warrant must be signed by another judge, if its illegal a judge would never sign off on the warrant so please enlighten me exactly what the dss did wrong? N.B incase you want to fall back on the time of the arrest, i just found it the constituition states you can be arrested at anytime of the day. 1 Like 1 Share |

SuperS1Panther: I wander where you people always cook your facts from. FBI should not be compared to the DSS. FBI should be compared to EFCC US Secret service should be compared to the DSS. Did the US government brake into people home at 1am to carry out arrest? Well, if people can defend Abacha I am not surprised people are defending Buhari. The truth is nothin last forever. 1 Like |

OBAGADAFFI: A corrupt judge is worse than Lucifer. Say no to corruption. Is the Act that set up DSS the same as FBI or US Secret Service? Hence, their allocated constitutional role might be different. |

In as much am not in support of illegality. I dont really know why people are wailing because of these judges. Anybody that is found wanting should be arrested and detained accordingly. After all, what makes a corrupt judges to be different from other common criminals, or are they above the law? Do police normally get any arrest warrant before they go after the yahoo boys? So why are people really crying for these criminals called judges. Many poor innocent Nigerian are in Prison and no body is saying anything. Many of whom were even sent to jail by these corrupt elements called judges. A beg! They should be dealt with accordingly!!! 1 Like |

A search and arrest warrant can be executed anytime of the day and at any day of the week... A search warrant can be executed on your rotten corpse inside your grave. The DSSas a national secutiry mandate, hope you realise a judges judgement lays the foundation for future judgement even long after he his dead, imagine of the judge sold a judgement to a corrupt politician, his judgement woild be used as basis for future judgement and consitute a threat to the secuity of Nigeria. And does it really matter if the DSs or efcc or police carry out the arrest, ordinary Nigerians are dying in prisons for crimes they did not commit and nobody to speak on their behalfs but arrest a corrupt judge and illitrate Nigerians would finally find their voice |
