One fear I know very well is loss of money. Fathers in patriarchal households lose sleep over the fear of going broke. Fluctuations in business earnings or delays in salary payments have them almost catching depressions when thinking in the long term. Another example is school fees; a parent who can't pay school fees almost suffers panic attacks seeing their ward daily.
