Meanwhile, excerpt of Aisha's interview has sparked fierce condemnation in Kano State.

At Jamaatul Izalatul Bid’ah Mosque in Farm Centre, Kano, Shiek Ismail Illyasu Mangu spoke to the thousands of worshipers immediately after the Jumaat prayer, calling on security agencies to arrest the first lady “because her interview is capable of inciting millions of Nigerians against her husband.

“We are sad about the interview granted by the wife of the President. We believe that opposition members in the country are using her against the government. Her statement is unfair and capable of inciting violence. It is a threat to the peace of the country and we do hope the security agencies will immediately arrest her.

“We believed that some ungrateful elements in the country are using the wife of the president to tarnish the image of the president and the country. Nigerians are not in her support. ”

Aisha you see your life... A wise woman knows how to get what she wants from her husband without going public. Either through prayer and supplication or the use of your God Given feminine power or even using people your husband listens to.. .. Just Press the right buttons and he will bow. It's a pity that after 27yrs of marriage you have just shown to the world that you don't have control of your husband. You need to examine your life. All these holier than thou sheik should please shut up and stop blabbing. How will arresting the first lady solve any problem? Those who truly love the president should be doing damage control by trying to down play the whole incidence instead of taking side and escalating the issue. Fact is, nobody can love the president more than his wife. Arresting Aisha will only escalate the matter and not achieve anything. People should think deeply before speaking publicly on this kind of issue.
