The story about the Governor of Benue State ordering his security operatives to beat up a Lady at The Redeemed Christian Church of God Mercyland Parish Makurdi on Sunday 16th October isn't true.
I am a Sunday school teacher in that Parish, the lady in question is a psychiatric patient who had earlier visited our Parish on Friday 14th Oct. during our early morning prayers, it was then we noticed she was not normal. just for her to appear in church again that Sunday morning before the Sunday school commence by 8am, she was then asked to leave the church as she climb on the altar and started scattering the flowers and other items used to decorate the altar, the question is can you allow such scenario when you are expecting a dignitary in your occasion? so she was asked to leave to be attended to after the occasion, her been beaten up has nothing to do with the Governor and the church, the Governor has not even arrived when the incidence took place the person who beat her was not a member church, who was not aware of her condition as she was confronting him with abusive words.
I like everyone to know that the Governor of Benue State and the church will not descend so low to order anyone to beat a person up for saying something.
It is not correct to pass comment or judgement about people without hearing their own side of a story.
I just will wipe away the false impression you might have had about the Governor and the Church.
