WHY DICTION-IN-ENGLISH?
We live in an ever changing world. No doubt, the fact that there was speech before the creation of man – that makes it (speech) older than him. Man has come of age with the level of ICT development in the 21st Century; hence, global communication has been very easy. It is now an age of global individual bilingualism.
English today is the global lingua franca that makes global interaction easier. This was better taught and spoken before the last decade of the 20th Century and the first decade of the 21st century in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the ability to teach pupils to read, write, and speak English independently was kind of a very difficult task, except for very few teachers and parents.
All we know in the 20th Century is to memorise the spelling of words. The introduction of Jolly Phonics in schools brought about positive change in children’s literacy performance.
Diction-in English was also introduced to bridge the gap between practical and theoretical ways of learning/ teaching Oral English in schools. It is broader than phonics.
Pacesetters Diction-in-English (book series) is unique because it redefines and simplifies Oral English for learners across board. It is a more practical way to learn spoken English particularly with the accent of the native English Speakers. The multi-sensory approach used in the writing of this book series is based on years of practical experiences by the author.
This is important at this age because of the place of English language in international/global human relations through the internet use in all its forms and international studentship/study abroad. English is one subject whose examination must be passed by any Nigerian student who wants to travel and study abroad.
Hence, with the teaching and learning of Diction-in-English, Nigerians are able to go places to speak with better accents as against the flat African accent.

Yes, you can. So far you can read and write in English, then all we do is to carefully train you to do it all right in terms of speaking, reading and writing English- particularly in the 21st century way.
