Prosecute El- Zakzakky Now, Nigerians In US Protest by Upritman(m): 1:30pm On Oct 21, 2016
A group of Nigerians in the US under the aegis of
More Voices Against Terrorism (MVAT) has taken
to the street in order to stern the growing spate of
the religious extremism being propagated by the
Islamic Movement of Nigerian (IMN)
The convener of the movement Cosmas Collins said
the activities of the IMN has given Nigeria and
Nigerians living abroad a
negative imagine, saying there was urgent need to
draw the attention of the international community to
their heinous crimes against the Nigerian state.
The group is also calling for the prosecution of the
leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, El
Zakzakky, insisting that his non-prosecution
remains a major flaw for the present administration
of President Muhammadu Buhari which is
respected globally in its war against terrorism.
He further said that the campaign against El-
Zakzakky and his Iranian counterparts is a patriotic
advocacy to defend the sovereignty of Nigeria from
re-colonization by imperialists and called for
support of all Nigerians.
The group during the protest shared pamphlets on
the streets of the US condemning the IMN
extremism and other forms of terrorism in Nigeria
Collins also said Islam is a good religion but El-
Zakzakky and his Iranian sponsored IMN are
portraying the religion in bad light just to satisfy his
foreign masters.
