[size=18pt]the worst news is that if this poor man should recover tomorrow he would vote for Buhari again. Infact sometimes I want Buhari to rule for 24yrs, because that's what it will take for the Hailing zombies to realize that the old fool has nothing new to add to our progress as a nation. Dbboy: Even before Buhari assumed power, he had already started introducing some anti-market policies, undoing some of the liberalisation that made forex available and kept the differential between the official and black market rate very insignificant-around 3%. A lot of this great policies were introduced by Soludo. His major offence was he allowed Buhari to dictate to him. The CBN is semi -autonomous and he should have told the president off. He allowed Buhari to set the exchange rate at 197 to a $ which did not take into consideration market realities. This led to a massive widening of the gap between the official rate and black market and to chronic dollar shortages which are still lingering. This plunged the economy into a recession. Also Buhari ordered that importers of 41 products be barred from accessing forex from the CBN. This forced them to turn to the black market further compounding the gap. He had no right I repeat to dictate to the CBN. Recently, the British Prime Minister tried to interfere with Bank of England governor and he told her off that she should not tell him how to do her job. This is not a tribal issue. Soludo is Igbo. He is probably the best Nigerian economist so far. Pat Utomi who is Delta Igbo like Emefiele is better suited for the job. One man's action does not speak for an entire tribe. That is just lame 1 Like |

Such cruelty. Gratuitous evil! How do you expect a man and his family to survive on N5000 in a month in this harsh economy? #The story's probably not true though. |

I am sorry, pals. This is exactly what is going to be happening in the coming future. Call it being pessimistic, but I call it the reality. Very few positions and too many unemployed people competing for them. If they cut your salary, you have just got to accept it. There are people that will take up your position for lesser amount of your salary. If you thought you have found the perfect career in this country, you are really deceiving yourself. That you are loyal to your company does not mean the company would be loyal to you. Residual income is still the best way to go! You can keep shouting change and capitalizing on your thousand excuses. You can hang in there and keep struggling or get out and get a life. It's your choice. 1 Like |
