One of the things the Christian struggles with is surrender. Even the world struggles with it when it comes to the gospel and salvation. Agrippa said “almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian” (acts 26:28). That is surrender there with an unbelieving man and he struggled with it. Surrender is to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another. While it is true that salvation is not of works (Eph 2:9, Acts 16:30-31), however, surrender is necessary as the sinner turns to Christ by faith for salvation.
