I'm currently trying to subscribe on airtel 4 d smarttrybe nite plan n am getting a msg dt i'm already active on d plan, yet d credit remains untouched.
What to do pls? I charged my phone specifically 4 tonite

It has to be 24hrs after ur previous sub before u can use it again ....say u subbed 12:00am yesterday wait till 12:01am to sub today

Now it's telling me to migrate to smarttrybe 2.0 to be able to enjoy nite browsing...i know am on smarttrybe cause i did d nite plan two night's ago

I subbed the first day and was given my 500MMB fast at 12:03 Am

the next day, I kept getting "you're already active on this data plan" till 4Am exactly before it went through

a day later, I again tried it and got the same message till exactly 4:38AM, meaning I had 12 minutes to finish 500MB

the worst part is that I couldn't access the net after 4:58, meaning they just gave me 10Min
to consume 500MB

Lessons:

if you load 100N and want to use all for night browsing the below are what Airtel does

Airtel would give you your first sub after recharging fast at anytime between 12 and 5AM
you'll have 75Naira left

when resubscribing, they won't let you do it till 4AM meaning you have 1 hour to consume 500MB

for the next two (you'll have 50N left by now) they won't let your attempts go through till 4:38 PM and you'd better finish it before 4:48pm

if you fail to subscribe, they'll remove their 25Naira anyways

and if you try transferring the credit to another line, they'll quickly remove 10Naira as charge

It is counted 24hours from when you subscribed.

If you first subscribed at 12.04. You must resubscribe at 12.04 the next day. Chances are that if you subscribe 12.00 it wont work cos 24hours has yet to run out. Something like 23.57 hours. So it says this plan is still active.
At 12.03 is exactly 24.00hrs
at 12.04 the next 24hrs start counting if you subscribe exactly at this point.

So they only allow one subscription in one 24hours. This is their way of beating multiple subscription

I subscribed first at 12:03, meaning if the 24 hour theory was true, I should be able to subscribe anytime between 12:03 and 4:59 the next day, Am I right?

maybe my line had a problem but when I called them, they just gave a flimsy "our engineers" excuse and told me it'll be rectified in less than 12 hours
