All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for Instruction unto Righteousness…That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

From the above passage, we are told that the Bible guides us to the following:

1. Doctrine: teaching.

2. Reproof: for convicting, rebuking, for showing people what is wrong in their lives.

3. Correction: useful for correcting faults.

4. Instruction unto Righteousness: for training us and teaching us how to live correctly.

However, not all Biblical scripture leads us to the 4 points mentioned in 2 Timothy. While there is a good deal of moral teachings found in the Bible that lead us to these 4 points, such as the true words spoken by Jesus(as) leading us to a pure monotheistic faith in the Unity of God, the true words spoken by Moses(as) as he instructed the Israelites to worship the One True God and of course, God Himself, most notably in His commandments. These truly moral teachings have been melded with words and stories that have no business being in the “Inspired word of God”.

i. Genesis 19:30-38: Lot(as) having incestuous sexual relations with his own 2 daughters and bearing offspring. (Disgraceful to attribute such an act to one of God’s messengers)

ii. Genesis 35:22: Incest between mother and son.

ii. Genesis 38:1-30: Judah committing incest with his daughter-in-law and producing Pharez and Zerah, the future ancestors of Jesus(as).

iii. 2 Samuel 13:5-14: Incest and rape between brother and sister.

iv. 2 Samuel 16:22: Incest and rape between mother and son.

v. More examples of incest found in Leviticus 18:8-18, 20:11-14 and 20:17-21.

vi. Judges 16:1: Samson goes into Gaza, sees a harlot and has sex with her.

I ask you dear reader, under which category do these 7 examples fall under: Doctrine, Reproof, Correction or Instruction unto Righteousness? There is no teaching to be found in these stories, there was no rebuking for the alleged sins committed in these stories, no explanation was given on how to correct these faults which leaves us wondering how we can use these examples to live correctly when no punishment was handed down in these stories? The only category these 7 examples can fall under is “pornography”. No moral lesson can be learned by these stories. Other immoral teachings found in the Bible are as follows:

i. Onanism and Coitus Interuptus: this is the act of withdrawing the penis from the vagina before ejaculation. Genesis 38:8-9

* Do your children really need to read this?

ii. Naked prophets: Genesis 9:21, 1 Samuel 19:24, 2 Samuel 6:20 and Isaiah 20:3-4.

iii. Consuming one’s own dung and urine: 2 Kings 18:27, Isaiah 36:12

Iv. Having dung on your faces: Malachi 2:3

v. Ezekiel being ordered by Almighty God to eat cake made with human dung: Ezekiel 20:3-4

vi. Being “Blessed” for killing babies: Psalms 137:9

vii. Mistreatment of women: It is considered a “shame” for women to speak in church. 1 Corinthians 14:34-35

viii. Ingratitude towards women: Cutting off a woman’s hand if she assists her husband who is in a fight with another man. Deuteronomy 25:11

Learning how to treat your mother disrespectfully: This being attributed to
Jesus (as) in Luke 8:19-21 and John 2:4

With respect to Luke 8:19-21 and John 2:4, no Muslim could ever believe that Prophet Jesus(as) treated his mother in this way, and as such must attribute this to further examples of fabrications found in the Bible. With that; under which category to these mentioned passages fall under; Doctrine, Reproof, Correction or Instruction unto Righteousness? Let us use more examples still;

a) Deuteronomy 7:1-6 (Wholesale Genocide)
b) Numbers 31 (Slaughter of the Midianites)
c) 1 Samuel 15 (Slaughter of the Amalekites)
d) Psalms 137:9 (Blessed are the baby killers)
e) Matthew 10:34 (Jesus came to "Bring a sword, not peace"wink
f) Luke 12:53 (Jesus says he came to "Bring fire, not peace"wink
g) Luke 19:27 (Jesus says in a parable, "All those who did not want me to rule over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence)
h) Luke 22:36 (Jesus tells his followers to "Purchase Swords"wink
i) John 2:15 (Jesus attacks people with a whip in the Temple)

May Allah(swt) guide us all to the truth, Insha'Allah(God Willing).

Oga, I know that you wrote all those things because of ignorance. first of all, try to differentiate between the old testament and new testament of the bible. The old testament simply talks about the life of our ancestors; From Adam - Malachi, there was no clear distinction of a particular religion here, except those worshiping God and those worshiping idol. The new testament marks the beginning of christianity as a religion. So, all the old testament you quoted are not christianity era but history of how the earth was formed and how God related with the men of old.

Go and read all the new testament you quoted out of context again and you will see clearly that you are wrong with the interpretations. There is nowhere in the bible that Jesus slapped or killed anybody throughout his lifetime, he never whips anybody in that temple, if he did, why did the same bible not tell you how many cried or replied back, or is it possible to whip people and no one of them will reply back? Get your facts right please.
