He claimed as a student in University of Maiduguri he fought alongside student leaders from Unilag, UI, OAU, ABU, Nsukka and Uniben during the Alli Must Go uprising, it was debunked. He has claimed he was already multibillionaire before becoming governor but nobody could locate his business empire before then.

Kalu is believed to have exaggerated his academic and career resume to legitimize his ill gotten wealth.

This is one of the sons of alaibo that contributed to severe depravation and development deficits leading to retardation of Ibo political progress in this country.

There is no saint amongst Nigerian politicians when it comes to corruption but some political thieves left developments and progress behind, Kalu left nothing! Ibos should rise against a leader like Kalu. He took all the money he looted from Abia treasury and sank them into investments in other regions.
