Just wondering how long we'll continue to keep quite, suffering and smiling in this country.

Obviously, Buhari will never be great a president as we thought. He might even end up being worse than Jonathan. #fact #timeWillTell

Who would be the next president after him?

Maybe another clueless politician.?

My suggestion is for the Nigerian masses to organise and tell the politicians enough is enough, even if it means going bloody.

Peace, freedom, prosperity and other good things are fought for, Not given.

Our country which is already a banana Republic in the hands of countries like Saudi Arabia and USA controlling our leaders, is going nowhere or going to hell if nothing is done.

Let's take our Government back come 2019 and start afresh for the sake of our children and generations unborn. We can't continue this way.

Lol, just another loner sitting behind the keyboard and typing #StartTheMovement.

As long as power is centered and executed at the center, nothing will change in the next 50 years.

Mark my word EXECUTED.

For instance, a borehole is being dug in your community, who approved the contract ( from Abuja), who execute the contract ( from Abuja), who does he answers to ( from Abuja). So if you the final beneficiary has any complaint about the project, where do you start? Abuja

So if some interest from a section of the country succeed in putting their son in Abuja, any mass movement will always be minus that section so how do you imagine it will succeed.

Solution.

More power and resources to the regions or states or province (whatever it will be called) and let more capital and life changing projects be initiated and implemented from state level.
Then, we won't bother much about who is at Abuja or any meaningless mass movement cos we will be tackling our respective state administrators instead .

Now someone should not lecture me on what the governors are doing now. A governor from Cross River built a booming tourism but federal policy killed it. Another in Akwa Ibom built a power plant till today, it can't be distributed within the state cos of federal policy. Anambra inland port would have been working now if not for federal influence.

Federal power just sit there at Abuja and formulate programs that has nothing to do with the way of life of the people they intend to implement.

How can you budget N5bn for tractors in NDDC in the name of Agriculture whereas Niger Delta farmers don't have extended farmland to effectively use tractors. When that kind of money is being diverted (cos the final beneficiary does not even know that money has been set aside and no way to know that except you are in Abuja), people will be talking about stealing by the elites . And everyone in faraway Abuja that should know it has been compromised

Now they are talking about 7 big wins N10bn nonexistent money which they are assuming will come from private investors. Which private investor will invest fully in the Niger Delta of today.

All talks and policies in Abuja just to drain the treasury again

Apparently a thought outta the box!

This is a great step to leading Nigerians out of the hands of democrazy politicians and their govenment, leading us with embellished words but their actions seem to be taking this generation and the ones yet to come into a future of mud puddles!

This piece is just me "thinking out loud".
This worst thing that can happen to any group of people is when they lose faith in their ability to direct and determine their future. This is the situation in Nigeria.

A lot of people especially the younger generation are not happy with the country and the direction it's going.

This was not the country our fathers dreamed of when they were rejoicing for receiving (they didn't fight for it) our independence from the British.

Now is the time to fight for our independence from the stupid, arrogant and failed leaders we have.

They come during Christmas and sallah to share coconut oil and rice to the masses.
Is that governance?

All I'm saying is that we the people have the power over this people to take back our government come 2019 and start afresh. Our generation might be wasted already, but for the sake of our children and generations unborn.
A movement can start. Share the post. Spread the Idea and let's see.

On the issue of running for office in the present political atmosphere. The system makes it impossible for an outsider with a genuine love of progress and development for the country to come in. You can only have your way right now if you are only willing and ready to join the bandwagon.

Look at electricity, look at the health sector, our hospitals are glorified human slaughter houses, look at our roads, our road are special death traps, look at quality of education, look at security and rule of law an so on. Our country is in shambles.

Looking and the 'shallowness' of the discussion here, it becomes more obvious that this generation is wasting away very fast .

I totally agree with what you've said, the problem is how and manner it will be achieved with the level of "divide and rule" syndrome already in place between the youth/populace. We Nigerians we've get lovely ideas that will take us to lofty height but the "P" is what are we ready to sacrifice? How patriotic are we?

A lot of work has to be done...
