They did not even debate it before throwing it out. Not a good development. Throwing the entire proposal away is not the best.

A loan of bigotry and waste.
One of the few times the senate has done something worth applauding.

We shall all experience the pains of the rejection, as lack of funds to execute the budget continues, so long the senate has no money to siphon courtesy of Buhari's anti corruption stance, the senate will continue to frustrate the executive at the detriment of the poor who are now hailing the senate, more sufferings on the way.

Our major headache is the minister of Finance,Kemi Adeosun. She will always come up with series of foolish idea I don't know where she gets it from and our president will follow him like a criminal being led to the gallow.

Unless u are confirming to me here and now that all we have in office are a bunch of wasteful dullards without a bone of innovation or intelligence in their bodies, it is clear that it is time to deploy home grown solutions and optimal foreign and domestic policies which will reverse the current downward trend we have been thrown into! Is it only about incurring debts? What is the framework for its management, deployment, feasibility and repayment? What is on ground or prepared by the government to show that every goddamned avenue has been tried, are completely and fruitlessly exhausted and we can therefore only rely on external borrowing of such magnitude? Did u ask these questions before declaring and absolute lack of funds?

What austerity measures have been deployed? This is where the 'poor' will hail the senate because there is no effort by the entire Federal apparatus to reduce frivolous spending! They all still move around with obscene convoys, unholy allowances and so on yet they only seek the easy way out! Where is the revenue from the stamp duties being deducted nationwide? The removal of subsidy, where is the money? What does it take to heed the demands of the Niger Delta and restructure this country like they promised in their campaign propaganda? Why will the FG not convoke a constitutional overhaul that can liberate the potentials of every nook and cranny of this blessed geographical expression? Have all of these and many more been exhausted before such a harebrained idea of such gargantuan external borrowing is even considered?

There was once a man (Nigeria) with many children who owned a company that was underperforming.

He fell ill and needed major surgery to stay alive. He wanted to sell some of his stake in viable entities to fund his operation as well as leave some working capital for his business (which employs some of his children), a number of his kids (that's what they really are) refused. Why? Because they were convinced he was about to sell their future inheritance.

Due to their refusal to allow him sell some stocks he turned to his bank for loan for the same purpose, yet the same set of children refused. Why? Because they want him and his ideals to die... for in his death they see life.

The amazing thing is that he still loves his children, for they know not what they are doing.
