I tried cooking local rice. It was Nice, stone free, but was so soft and sticky. I know it's Parboiled, but what could be wrong? Is it me or the rice? Why doesn't it stand separate like foreign rice? |

it doesn't happen all the time but most of the time it does. I guess I have to relax and wait for comments. |

One thing about that rice is that you have to be careful and watchful when preparing it. It's very deceiving. I tried it many times before I could get it. You just have to start with small water and check every time if you don't want watery rice |

You cooked it like you would Stallion rice where you pour lots of water and yet it won't get soft (I so dislike it) when making local rice, you add just little quantity of water and keep checking it. If you learn how to cook local rice, you'll discover it is sweeter and better than most of these foreign rice except my sweet lovey dovey indian rice.  1 Like |
