If couples cannot afford a modest wedding, how can they afford marriage?

All the same, it's commendable the church is trying to encourage people to marry and shun fornications, but it's not enough to sustain marriage in this time and season.

It will work well for people who have been there already but were just waiting for opportunity to legalise their union through church.

A lot of people living together these days fornicating n making babies and using lack of money for wedding as an excuse should grab this. The church just wanna bless their union and clear them from the guilt of
fornication.

You can see and read yet you can not understand there's problem oh... Someone was asking if they will provide partner as if that was not enough someone asked if they will feed the invited guest. Do you prefer the happiness of your marriage to the happiness of your guest on your wedding day?

I was invited to a wedding.. when I
reached the hotel I found two doors
written
1. Wedding ceremony.
2. Birthday ceremony.
I entered the one written wedding
ceremony I saw two more doors.
1. Invited.
2. Non invited.
I went through invited, then I approached
another two doors.
1. Graduate.
2. under graduate.
I entered graduate, then I saw two more

Every parish in Catholic Church conducts a mass wedding once yearly, the parish takes care of the reception and entertainment for all the couple and their guest. The also ask you to wear what you can afford it doesn't have to be a gown... They sometimes get support from parishioners.

even if they Dont, I think they tried. And mind you, according to my marriage councillor, only five persons are needed for a successful wedding; they are the Bride and groom, 2 sponsors and a priest.
