Anambra Legislators Pass Vote of Confidence on Gov Obiano of Anambra State over his Starling Achievements

Members of Anambra State House Of Assembly, yesterday 8th Nov. 2016, passed a vote of confidence on the Governor of the State, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano for his giant and excellent achievements for Ndi-Anambra who voted him during the last Gubernatorial election in the state and have continued to support him till date.

The mover of the motion, Hon. Agbodike Paschal (Mmiri Oma Ihiala) Member Representing Ihiala II constituency and the the Deputy Majority Leader of the House, while making a presentation on the motion, took a little journey on while the vote of confidence was timely and necessary.

He noted that the Governor during his campaign, presented to Ndi-Anambra his working strategy to consolidate on the existing program of the former Apga govt and how he will metamorphos to a greater hight if given the opportunity. He hinged his administration on four cardinal points as follows;

1) Agressive Mechanised Agriculture
2) Industrialization
3) Trade and commerce
4) Oil and gas.

And has within the few years in office, achieved more of his social contract with Ndi-Anambra.

In actualizing this projects, the Governor in his wisdom took it upon himself to put a rounded tempo in the security system of the state, an area he believe will be the (mother of his dream for success) thus making the atmosphere favourable not only for business but also inhabitable for its citizenry.

It is instructive to also note that, despite the ravaging economic recession in the country, while other states were wailing and languishing on not being able to pay it's workers let alone carrying out capital projects even though about 35 of the states in Nigeria where given a bail out fund by the federal govt excluding our dear state, Anambra State civil servants get their salaries as at when due precisely every 25th of every month and none is being owed since inception of his administration.

Anambra state have witnessed massive foreign investment on key areas of Obiano cardinal pilars of development, particularly in Agricultural sector, a vision that has birthed the revered (Anambra Rice) in barely few months and the subsequent Federal Government intervention fund for the company for job well done.

Today, wealthy ndi Anambra can confidently come back home to enjoy with their families and even bring back there business down to the state, a good example of such cases is the Obijackson Pediatric Hospital Okija, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah Game village Ozubulu, Dr. Maduka Hospital Umuchu, Stine Rice Ltd Nnewi South and many more.

Currently, the Governor gave to the 179 communities in the state 20 million naira each for their choice community project as part of his inclusive governance.

Indeed, as the saying goes "to whom much is given, much is expected" the good people of this peace loving state, placed a lot in the hands of this technocrat and he is undoubtedly due to be commended for at least being able to saddle the state well for close to 3 years.

Under Obiano, Anambra has become a reference point on economic management, community development and social security one that even the Federal government learn from in handling oir dwindling economy.

On this premise, the people's representatives in the state assembly unanimously gave a vote of confidence on the Governor while encouraging him to extend more of his projects to some communities in the south and central.
