If sharia is passed into law, Nigeria will be destroyed - Datiri

-Rev Dachollom Datiri says that Nigeria will be doomed if Sharia law is enacted by the Senate.

– The COCIN President says the bill must be re-thought about.

– Datiri says it is unconstitutional to force someone to adhere to the tenets of a religion they do not practice.

Rev Datiri, the president of Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), has warned the National Assembly against passing into law,a bill to legalise Shari’a, stressing that it is unlawful and would lead Nigeria into ruins.

The enactment of Sharia law in Nigeria, could lead to great disaster, says Reve Datiri.

According to Datiri, such moves may ignite religious war in the country.

The clergyman stated this on Wednesday, November 9, when he addressed clergymen at the 19th General Church Council meeting at the Church’s Headquarters, in Jos, capital of Plateau state.

He said the National Assembly should have a rethink on the bill for Shari’a Law which has passed Second Reading. He added that the ‎inclusion of such law into the 1999 Constitution, as amended will lead to general collapse of the country. “It is no longer news that this bill has passed Second Reading and is being studied at the committee level.

The committee handling this must look at it critically and consider all non-Muslims who will be affected by this law. “It is clearly unconstitutional to force someone to adhere to a law that infringes on their (his or her) religious freedom. That could instigate people.

”Meanwhile, police enforcing Sharia law in Nigeria destroyed more than 238 bottles of beer in Kazaure Local government area of Jigawa state. The information was made public by Hisbah, the stric Islamis law enforcement agency in the state, in Dutse, on Friday, November 4.

Explaining the act, Sa’idu Aliyu, the state commandant of Hisbah, said that consumption of beer was prohibited in all parts of the state. He also assured of keeping crack down on alcohol consumption and other “immoral” behavior in the area.

Eastern Nigeria will never be islamicized , not now not forever !

The population of Muslims in the east is 0.000001% and we like it that way. If they try it, disintegration of Nigeria is not far from fetch.

Period!!

What is sharia law doing in the constitution in the first place ? Where were the Christian Association of Nigerian when such law was enacted into the constitution ?

If its to collect tithes and offerings and preach long sermons, they know how to do it best, but they can't for once stand up and speak against this religious and barbaric law in the constituion.
